Ever since my mom discovered that I had a green thumb, she began encouraging me to start a garden in our backyard. That was when I was in grade six and even now that I have my own family, she would sometimes call me about something and in the course of the call she would always remember to tell me to start planting whatever was in season at the time. It was a different case this morning, however.
